Pimp out your hotel room for sexy time

Just cause you had to book a room at a more affordable hotel chain doesn't mean that it can't be sexy.  Just staying in a hotel conjures up feelings of naughtiness. But if you're not able to book a room at a W Hotel or The Standard here's a few ideas to get, whatever you get, more romantic...

(the sexy The Regent Beijing with it's glass shower wall)

#1. Music - Bring along your I-Pod/Pad/Phone and plug it into some good speakers.  This will fill your ears with the right tunes to get you going.

#2. Aromas - Candles are always a nice touch at home, but in a hotel, maybe even better!  Get the exotic smell of your favorite brand pumping in the room to drown out that smell of Lysol or worse.

#3. Being comfortable - Keep the temperature in the room at a comfortable naked room setting.  If you're not feeling comfortable, it'll be hard to get anything else going.

#4. Hit the hotel lounge - A lot of hotels have a lounge.  Have your lady head down early then follow her up 10 mins later.  You'll have fun seeing your sexy woman at the bar and you can try to pick her up!  Make a game out of it, why not?

#5. Shower - Take a sexy shower for two.  Take time to clean each other up before a nice massage or more.  Freshness is always sexy.

Hotels with wood burning fireplaces

It's that time of the year again where a nice wood-burning fireplace just sounds so nice.  I think all couples could enjoy a night next to a fire during the holidays.   Here's a list of 3 hotels that have just what you need...

* all sample room price quotes were done on the hotel's direct website for Friday December 9th, 2011 for one night for two adults.

TAJ Boston - Boston, MA

TAJ Boston has 273 guest rooms including 44 suites that have cozy wood-burning fireplaces.  It's an older hotel that underwent a complete restoration in 2002 to celebrate its 75th anniversary.  The hotel is surrounded by art galleries, boutiques and restaurants.  You can score a room from $195 and up by checking out their website:  www.tajhotels.com.

Goldmine Lodge - Big Bear, CA

Here's a fun way to visit Big Bear in the winter, with your very own cabin that not only include the wood-burning fireplace, but a heart shaped spa with "never ending hot water."  Cheesy, yes.  Fun, you bet!   You can score a room from $199 (but you have to book 3 nights) by checking out their website:  www.bigbearlake.net.

Salish Lodge & Spa - Seattle, WA
If you find yourself in cold rainy Seattle this winter check out this place.  All 89 rooms all rooms feature over-sized two-person whirlpool tubs and wood-burning fireplaces with many overlooking the Snoqualmie River.  You can score a room from $279 by checking out their website:  www.salishlodge.com.

Travel Alaska by train - way cool

This is a trip I'd really enjoy doing.  Sure, it's not my normal vacation wish list of the sunny Caribbean but think about it...cruise our Nation's largest state by train.   Forget about a cruise to Alaska, this is how you see the countryside of the Last Frontier.

Each year about 3 million people visit Alaska but over 60% of them do it via a cruise ship.  I got nothing against that, that'd be cool too.  But there's something romantic about taking a nice train ride thru the country's wild backwoods.   But train ridership is picking up, this year the Alaska Railroad reported it's business is up 10% over this time last year.

Alaska Railroad, the last full-service railway in the USA, cuts through 470 miles of Alaskan wilderness, punctuated by the occasional appearance of moose, sheep, bear and other wildlife.   They offer different routes prices starting off from $49.  Price list:  www.alaskarailroad.com/fare.

(the average speed is 38 mph - top speed is 65mph)

    Current routes include

The Coastal Classic winds its way south from Anchorage along Turnagain Arm before turning south to the Kenai Peninsula, eventually reaching Seward. This 114-mile (183 km) journey takes around four and a half hours due to some slow trackage as the line winds its way over the mountains.

The Glacier Discovery provides a short (2 hour) journey south from Anchorage to Whittier for a brief stop before reversing direction for a stop at Grandview before returning to Anchorage in the evening.

The Hurricane Turn provides rail service to people living between Talkeetna and the Hurricane area. This area has no roads, and the railroad provides the lifeline for residents who depend on the service to obtain food and supplies. One of the last flag-stop railway routes in the United States, passengers can board the Hurricane Turn anywhere along the route by waving a large white flag or cloth.

The Aurora is available in winter months (September 15 - May 15) on a reduced weekend schedule (Northbound, Saturday mornings; Southbound, Sunday mornings) between Anchorage and Fairbanks. It is a 12 hour ride and departs at 8:15 a.m.

The Denali Star runs from Anchorage to Fairbanks (12 hours one-way) and back with stops in Talkeetna and Denali National Park, from which various flight and bus tours are available. Although the trip is only about 356 miles (573 km), it takes 12 hours to travel from Anchorage to Fairbanks as the tracks wind through mountains and valleys; the train's top speed is 59 miles per hour but sometimes hovers closer to 30 miles per hour.

Places to get "romantic" at Hedonism II

For anyone that's ever been to Hedonism II, like me, you'll understand that it's a very easy place to feel romantic with your loved one.  Or you might feel extra naughty and/or you may feel like trying something you've never done before back home.

Here's a list of places to get it on while at Hedo 2 compliments of posters over at DennyP...

For the slightly shy
  • Your room
  • Any of the hidden hot tubs
  • In the grotto when alone

For those not too shy
  • Any hammock
  • On a float in the water
  • In the rain on the beach

Bonus cool places

  • The hidden waterfall (not the grotto)
  • On any stairs at night in "slutwear"
  • On a Hobie Cat, w/calm seas
  • The TV Room that's near the gym
  • Sauna and the steam room near the spa
  • The picnic table in the aviary area (just follow the path there)
Does anyone else have any better ideas?

Located in trendy South Florida is The Setai, a costly but very sexy hotel.   It's a 75 unit hotel located in Miami with awesome views of the ocean.   The hotel itself was originally built between 1936 and 1938 as as the famed Dempsey Vanderbilt Hotel.  These days it's The Setai where celebrities like Eva Longoria, Paris Hilton, Jay-Z and Lenny Kravitz often will be spotted.

A generator provides power at night. There is running water, but it’s limited as well. Fans, yes. Air conditioning, no. Pampering, definitely no.

Will drinking this get you horny???

Cloud 9 Natural Aphrodisiac is a new drink I've seen out there that claims works as an aphrodisiac.  I've seen them at the market around the corner from where I live but always laugh it off, but wait...could it be for real?   For one, it's also an energy drink that contains all the common ingredients found in most other energy drinks:  caffeine, taurine and ginseng.  But this beverage also includes L-Glutamine, L-Carnitine, Yohimbine, Maca, Horny Goat Weed and B vitamins.

Of course their web site DrinkCloud9.com claims you will drink it and turn into the greatest lover of all time.  Others reviewers out there talk about the package being cool the taste being excellent and the energy you get pretty good.  Perhaps I just need to pick up a bottle from the store and find out for myself!  :-)
