Hedonism II is SOLD!

HEDONISM II IN NEGOTIATIONS WITH INTERNATIONAL INVESTOR GROUP

Company to be owned by Harry Williams, Jon Gross, John Issa Family and Kevin Levee

NEGRIL, JAMAICA November 7, 2012 – SuperClubs Chairman, John Issa, announced today that he is in negotiations to sell Hedonism II to Marshmallow Ltd a new company headed by majority stockholder Harry Williams and including Jon Gross, the John Issa Family and Kevin Levee.

The group has said that upon conclusion of a deal, there will be a smooth transition of ownership with no interruption to service. All reservations and tour operator contracts will be honoured and the property will not be rebranded and will continue to deliver and enhance the Hedonism Holiday.

Harry Williams expressed his excitement, “Hedonism II is John Issa’s legacy, the concept, formation and operation has so much of him in it. It has been a long-term goal of mine to own the resort and to invest the funds needed to enhance its facilities to even higher standards. We are proud that he has chosen to consider us to continue to innovate, modernize and maintain Hedonism II as the leading resort in our industry.”

“This ownership group is ideal and should calm any fears that Hedonists have had about their beloved resort falling into hands that have no understanding or experience in this market,” said Jon Gross, CEO of Marshmallow Ltd.

John Issa added, “Hedonism II is the ultimate gem in its market, not only is the location on the seven-mile Beach in Negril ideal but it is the storied resort that all its competitors attempt to live up to. It is an important part of my contribution to tourism and I am happy to be in discussions for it to be preserved for many years to come by people that hold it as dear to their hearts as I do.”

Kevin Levee, a 28-year employee of SuperClubs and the current General Manager of the resort added, “our first goal is to bring the operation of the resort back to 100% and to this end we are immediately investing in many of the facilities”.

Marshmallow Ltd has a US$10 million renovation plan including room renovations, which will begin immediately on completion.

Is Hedonism II closing???

The rumor mill out in internet-land is in full swing with rumors that Superclub's Hedonism II in Negril, Jamaica is soon closing mon!   I'm sure only the powers-to-be really know and till such time that an official business decision is made, we're all pretty much in the dark.

If it is sold I know we all hope that new ownership will continue the same wicked fun path that the resorts been on for decades.  If not, where's the next Hedo II type of place going to be?

I'll keep you updated with any news that I come across, in the meantime, feel free to sound off on the message boards...

Man, that's one super small bikini!  It looks like most of it was filmed on the "prude" side of Hedo II which these days can still host nudity.

Do Easter at Hedo II in Negril, Jamaica

Hedonism II 2011 Entertainment Crew

Here's a clip featuring some of the EC's at Hedo II in Negril, Jamaica in 2011.  They seem to have a high turnover rate so I really don't know who's still there.

These young people work hard to entertain you while you're on your vacation.  Not everyone enjoys them there, but I do.  

Archived footage from 2004 - Hurricane Ivan hits Jamaica

Nearly a decade later comes photos out of Hedonism II that show the damage left in the wake of Hurricane Ivan.  Negril took a hit in September of 2004.

The bad news was that 17 Jamaicans lost their lives from the storm.  The good news was that nobody got hurt while at the resort.  They had minor damage but the capable crew of Hedo took care of the cleanup in a few weeks.

Testimony from a guest that was there, "We rode out Hurricane Ivan at Hedo III in '04. It was one of our best trips ever. We had just been through two hurricanes in Florida, saw Ivan coming and went down early before they shut off the airline flights. I think there were about 75 of us there plus some of the staff managers and E/C's who managment brought in to look after the place (and us). We had a blast. They even boarded up Pastafari as a "safe" room, took out many of the tables and put mattresses in there. We were all (staff included) ordered into the room by 8:00 PM to ride out the storm and wound up having one of the largest "slumber" parties any of us had ever seen. 

Power al over the island went down but the resort has a huge generator(s) that supplied full power until the electricitiy came on several days later. We don't recommend it, but there were lots of our friends there with us and it was an experience we won't forget. The resort only took minor damage because the storm track shifted and it skirted the South coast with the mountains blocking the full force of the storm."

Hedo II EC's putting on a sexy show

Here's a steaming hot 5 minute clip from Hedonism II's 30th anniversary celebration that happened early this month.  It features H2 entertainment corroborators Melody and Fifty doing a very erotic dance on stage.

Fifty has got it all, the great build, sexy coworkers and he works at Hedo II!  Not that working there is perfect, but for these 5 mins, I'd trade my job with him in a second!

30th Anniversary photos coming out of Hedo II

It's been 30 years baby!  In November of 1981 "Negril Beach Village" became "Hedonism II".   It's been a non-stop party ever since.  On Tuesday of last week, the 1st, the resort had a huge anniversary bash that was SOLD OUT.

A few photos coming out of Hedo II's Halloween bash!

By all account Hedonism's 30th Halloween went off in spoootacular fashion!  I got friends down there now who Facebook'ed me saying then were having a blast, while making us very jealous!   The resort had a show following dinner and a contest.  After that crowds moved onto the disco, the piano bar, the hot tubs and perhaps...even to their rooms.
