Rihanna flashes NYC

Rihanna is pretty much going nuts these days.  Just a few nights ago she decided it was a good idea to go out for dinner at a schwanky NYC Italian restaurant wearing a top that was pretty much transparent.  And when about 400 pap's showed up with their flashbulbs on the cameras, the top became completely transparent.

Rihanna's newest video, "You da one"

Here's my celebrity crush singing away from her newest song of her newest album, "Talk That Talk."  The music video for "You Da One" was filmed on November 26 and 27, 2011, in Northern Ireland.

Side notes:  Rihanna grabs her crotch 11 times in the video, trust me, I counted.  

Rihanna vacation photos

Superstar Rihanna has posted some of her "behind the scenes" photos of her cruise this summer with her gal-pals in Italy.   It looks like they were having a blast on this private cruise ship.  Lucky girls!

She, and her party friends, took this private cruise in late August of 2011.  They even got to dive Christ Of The Abyss statue in San Fruttuoso Bay, near Portofino, Italy.  One day she'll slow down, but for now, she's rich, popular, young and on the GO!

Rihanna's newest video is out

Do you remember 3-4 weeks ago when some Irish farmer got all pissed off at Rihanna for walking on his land topless?   Well that video, "We found love", is out.  Watch it below to see what all the commotion was about.  It also features British boxer/model Dudley O'Shaughnessy.

What do you all think?  Too wild?  No big deal?  I'd liked to have been Dudley, and I'd even had done it for free!  See how nice I am?

Rihanna's bikini body in Brazil

Rihanna has settled into her Loud tour destination of Rio de Janeiro this week.  The Barbadian singer, and bad girl, tossed on a bikini and hit the beaches with her entourage while proceeding to sip on Caipirinhas, munch on coconut ice cream and build sandcastles.

 

Later on during the day (September 19), Rihanna purchased a few new bikinis then went and got herself a henna tattoo.  Later on she was immediately recognized by all of the locals and had to scurry off the beach and run to her hotel across the street.

She then took to her twitter account tweeting, "BRAZIL has the BEST coconuts!!! And AZZ!!!"

 

Her tour dates are Friday September 23rd and Saturday September 24th in Rio de Janerio as a part of "Rock in Rio 2011."

Rihanna goes for a quick snorkle in the Mediterranean

Rihanna recently went on a long Mediterranean cruise when she decided to snorkel with some of her gal pals.  One of her friends (not sure of her name) decided to get topless, Rihanna...she went in the water with a dress on.  Strange.  Her friends and her hit up the Christ Of The Abyss statue in San Fruttuoso Bay, near Portofino, Italy.

So what's up with Rihanna?  On stage she's not shy at all, but in the water, she wears a dress?  At least her friend had the stones to go out mostly natural!   Anyway, you're looking good in that last photo Rihanna!

Rihanna continues her Barbados home visit which so far has included a lot of bikinis, swimsuits and bikinis!   I'll take it!  Here she is in a Bob Marley swimsuit while chilling on the beach...

Rihanna celebrates annual Kadooment Day parade in Barbados

Rihanna was back in her home country of Barbados this weekend to help celebrate in an annual Kadooment Day parade in the capital of Bridgetown.  She was dressed up in a traditional, and very sexy, bikini/outfit for the parade.

Kadooment Day, according to Barbados.org, “can be traced  back to the 1780's, a time when Barbados was the world's largest producer of sugar.  At the end of the sugar season, there was always a huge celebration to mark the culmination of another successful sugar cane harvest.”

As the sugar industry in Barbados declined, so too did the Crop Over festival and in the 1940's the festival was terminated completely.  However, the festival was revived in 1974 and other elements of Barbadian culture were infused to make the extravaganza that exists today.

Rihanna named Barbados tourism ambassador

This according to an announcement by the Barbados Tourism Authority and news outlets including London's Daily Telegraph.

The popular and sultry singer, who grew up on the Caribbean island, has agreed to assume the post because she says she wants visitors to experience the "spirit and warmth" of Barbados residents.

"Barbados is a place like no other and one of the reasons for this is the spirit and national pride of our people," Rihanna said in a statement. "I want each and every visitor to this beautiful island to experience what makes this destination different from all others, and that is the spirit and warmth of my fellow Barbadians."

The Tourism Authority said it is a three-year deal and urged everyone to "celebrate this amazing announcement" by being in Bridgetown, Barbados, Aug. 5, where Rihanna is due to perform on her current tour.

Well, the official video has came out...and in it Rihanna caps a dude in the head to start off her video.  Right or wrong?  Wrong Rihanna, but at least you look good in the video.

I love Rihanna (my celebrity lust crush) and I love Jamaica.  So I enjoy the video, other than her shooting a guy in the head.  She's got too many young impressionable fans to be doing that, IMHO.

Rianna is in Jamaica to shoot the "Man Down" video

Rihanna flew into Jamaica this weekend to shoot the video for "Man Down" a single off her album Loud that's still burning up the charts.  She's on the North coast of Jamaica in the Parish of Portland to shoot this, her 4th video for the album.

Rihanna gets a full body scan at LAX

The one day I should have been working as a body scanner at LAX was April 27th, 2011.  That's the day my favorite Barbadian singer Rihanna went to the airport to fly away to somewhere less smoggy and gave whoever was working, the thrill of a lifetime.

Rihanna's early years in Barbados

What do most of us know about Rihanna before she made it to America, hooked up with Jay-Z and made it big?  Not much.  After this post, you'll know a little bit more...

In a small town in the Caribbean island nation of Barbados named St. Michael, Robyn Rihanna Fenty was born on February 20, 1988. Her father is Ronald Fenty, a white Barbadian of Irish descent, and her mother is Monica Fenty, a black Guyanese beauty of Bajan lineage. An oldest child, Rihanna has two younger brothers, Rajad and Rorrey.

Growing up, Rihanna lived a somewhat trouble-free, normal life on her island home.  She earned her primary education at Charles F. Broome Memorial School and then went to the prestigious Combermere School, a kind of technical high school, for her secondary education.  She crowned the title of Miss Combermere in 2004 and sang Mariah Carey’s “Hero” at the Colours of Combermere School show.

As student of Combermere School Rihanna also formed a trio singing group with two of her classmates.  Her big break in the music scene came in 2003, when one of her close friends introduced her to New York City record producer Evan Rogers, who at that time vacationing with his Barbadian wife Jackie, in Barbados.

 With the help of Rogers, Rihanna made some demo songs in the United States at the ripe age of 16 and sent them to various recording companies.  Her hard work paid off a year later when the impressed record executive Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter who signed Rihanna to his label, Def Jam Records.

The rest is history, since her first record label Rihanna has gone on to sell more than 15 million records and 45 million singles worldwide.  She has also achieved 9 number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 since first appearing on the chart on June 11, 2005, which is the most by any artist during that time span.
