Go down under at Hotel Mai Tai Resort!

Here's a resort I had NO clue about in Australia, land of Fosters Beer, kangaroo and big country.  Hotel Mai Tai Resort.  It's located on Australia's northwest coast in a surprisingly tropical setting.  Don't be thinking desert and red stones people.  Google Map.  (even Google street views work here, cool)  This 6 room resort sits on top a mountain and has striking views.  (it sits on over 6 acres of private land)  It's been in operation since 2003 and appears to be going strong.

Since this hidden gem only allows for 6 couples at a time you'll find the service here amazing.  On TripAdvisor you'll see it ranks #1 out of 49 reviewed resorts in the area.  TripAdvisor Reviews.  The Mai Tai Resort has a lounge bed by the pool, an outdoor saltwater pool overlooking the rain forest, completely private environment and allows clothing optional around the pool area.

This down under resort has just four suites available and one Executive 2 bedroom Villa.  Each suite has a romantic theme, with a king size bed and luxurious linens, private gardens and luxury private outdoor tropical showers in the Deluxe Suites.  There is high speed Internet access available throughout the retreat.  Each day as the sun breaks you're treated to a free tropical breakfast.  For lunch and dinner there are several places located within a few miles of the resort.

Ok, ok, so how much does it costs to stay here???   Well, according to their web site they have a current 3 night special for (for 2) for AUD $628.  How much is that in American currency?  Around $584 at the time of this post being published.  Typical rates run around AUD $640 per night (for 2) or $595 in American money.  So this two night deal is a deal indeed!   For any current specials or deals check either with the resort itself or the web for any travel deals.

So if you're in the mood to travel to Australia and check out this resort we'd love for you to check back in with some trip reviews of your own.  As they say in their motto, "You don't have to die to be in heaven" but the flight there might kill your bank account.  Prices range from $800 and up from the US.
