Strawberry Hill in Jamaica - a review

This luxury mountain retreat is built in plantation style: a 19th-century house in its own gardens surrounded by a cluster of cottages and villas with wide verandahs and attractive louvred windows.  The restaurant focuses on locally-sourced, “new Jamaican” cuisine, and the spa offers a choice of relaxing treatments.  The 12 Georgian-style cottages are built on 26 acres of picturesque Blue Mountains land.

At 3,100 feet above sea level in the Blue Mountains, Strawberry Hill Hotel & Spa offers a mix of rich Jamaican heritage balanced by healthy conscious living.   Guests that have stayed there rate it very high saying things like...

"The grounds are simply breathtaking! One of the most spectacular views I have witnessed."

and...

"Strawberry Hill is truly a wonderful resort perched in the clouds above Kingston.  Stunning views of the capital, especially at night."

Other people have also noted a few bad things about the resort including:  The level of maintenance is lacking, service is slow and you might hear noise from parties in nearby houses.   But all in all most people that visit Stawberry Hill leave happy with the service and location.  Most of them seem to like the views the best.  The infinity pool overlooks Kingston.
