Visit Hawaii's green sandy beach - Papakolea

Hawaii is a beautiful state, no doubt.  But did you know that Hawaii has a beach with green sand?  It sure does, and it's located on the island of Hawaii near South Point.  The beach gets it's distinctive coloring from a mineral, olivine crystals, that erode from an enclosing cinder cone.
It's not the easiest beach to get to, you have to hike your booty down to the green beach, but once there, it's a sight to behold.  olivine crystals are rare on earth in such quantities, but on the moon and mars, it can be found rather easily.   Perhaps that's why Papakolea has a out-of-this-world look!
