Negril, Jamaica has some really really nice diving and the best part is, you can dive a lot of these spots for free! Resorts such as Hedonism II and Breezes Negril have all inclusive vacations that allow you to eat, drink and dive - all under one cost. Pretty cool. And the following are 3 dive locations in that area for divers to enjoy. And I'm 90% sure that all 3 are placed there specifically for divers.
1. Sitting at 90 feet off the waters of Negril in Bloody outer Bay lies this old single engine plane that's been down there about 30 years. 90 feet is getting on the edge of what the resorts will let you dive down to but you might get a shot at this plane with the right resort dive master. You might see spade fish, barracuda, exotic coral, barrel sponges and gorgonians.
2. This plane went into the water around 1989 and lies in about 35 to 55 feet of water. After Hurricane Dean ripped thru in 2007 it tore one of the wings off this plane, but it's still there if you want to see it. Locals tip: Look for the long snout butterfly fish that has made his home inthe back seat of the plane.
3. And lastly, you can check out this tug boat that's sitting in waters about 70 feet deep. It's been down there about 20 years and the boat itself is getting a little weak. You used to be able to scuba inside the boat, but word has it that the dive masters are getting concerned about it's condition and for the sake of safety, they might not let you go inside the boat.
