US issues travel warnings for Egypt

Just today, the U.S. Department of State gave warnings to US Citizens in Egypt due to the escalating trouble against the government of President Hosni Mubarak.  Link:  travel.state.gov/travel/warning.  Looters broke into Cairo's Egyptian Museum on Saturday ripping the heads off mummys (how rude) and doing other damage.  It's getting nuts over there.

Hotels are sealing up the grounds and traveler famous "Sharm el-Sheik Resort" is barricaded and by at least 14 security officers while the mood of the resort dramatically changed.

For American's stuck in Egypt or for loved ones wishing to check on your Egypt stuck peeps are encouraged to make contact with U.S. Embassy in Cairo at EgyptEmergencyUSC@state.gov, or at 1-202-501-4444.
