A dive resort in Egypt suffers fatal shark attack!

Over the weekend a German guest at a schwank Egyptian resort, El el-Sheikh Sharm el-Sheikh, on the Red Sea got attacked by a shark and died almost immediately!   The shark attack follows a few others in this area of the Red Sea, Google Map, and has local tourism officials concerned.  Shark attacks = less dive resort guests!   Currently, beach tourism contributes around 66% of Egypt's total income - a 12.something BILLION dollar affair.  OUCH.

They think the increasing shark attacks could be attributed to over fishing in the area leaving the hungry sharks with only rich tourists to snack on.   The local Environment Ministry ordered authorities to keep an extra watch out for sharks and requiring diving centers to provide staff to supervise beaches.
