How does "free play" generally work?

1) Go to slot club booth to activate free play. If you do not have a PIN number for your card you will need to set that up now too.

2) Find a slot machine that allows free play. In most casinos just about every single machine will take your free play, but at some casinos you can't use free play on machines with progressive jackpots or certain other games.

3) Is somebody sitting in the seat at the machine? If yes then you must find a different machine or wait your turn

4) At the machine insert your slot card. The slot club booth will tell you (or give you an info card with instructions) how to call up the system menu for your card. The card reader will prompt you to enter your PIN number on the keypad next to it.

5) Once you enter your PIN you will get a new menu that will show what options you have for your card. In most cases this will just be "ActivateFree Play" but some casinos might have different features here.

6) You can now pick how much free play you will use. At most casinos they have it set in increments like it might be: $10, $25, $50, $75, $100, etc. This will go up to how much free play you have available.

7) NOW THE TRICKY PART THAT A FEW PEOPLE HAVE THE PROBLEM ON: YOU HAVE TO INSERT ENOUGH MONEY IN TO THE MACHINE TO COVER YOUR WAGER.

You have to put the money in because this is how free play works:
You select your bet (number of lines, credits, credits per hand, etc) and press SPIN or DEAL or MAX BET or whatever you want to activate the play.

THE MACHINE WILL THEN DEDUCT THE CREDITS NEEDED TO MAKE YOUR PLAY FROM YOUR CREDIT BALANCE.

After the hand/spin/play is over the machine will award you with whatever you won from the play... and then it will have "BONUS" message on the screen where it will then deduct the credits you bet from yourfree play balance and then return them to you.
