Man who visits a nude beach has his penis bit by a spider!

File this one under OUCH!  A 22 year old Canadian was snoozing away after a visit to a nude beach in New Zealand a few weeks back when he woke up to find his penis swollen and in pain.  By the time the man reached hospital, his penis was severely swollen, his blood pressure was up and his heartbeat was racing.

Apparently, he had left his shorts in the sand dunes where assumable the spider crawled inside and attacked later.  He was treated with anti-venom at local hospitals for 16 days before leaving for Canada.  The good news is that he's fine now but YIKES, it's something to think about!
